HISTORY Of The HOTEL
The Hotel was built in the late 70's by the Philippine Center for Economic Development (PCED). On June 1983, the PCED donated the University Hotel (which was known then as the PCED Hostel) to the University of the Philippines.
Thereafter, the University operated it (by virtue of an executive order) as a special project through its Board of Overseers who were vested the authority for its operations. On August 13, 2001, the Board of Overseers renamed the PCED Hostel as the University Hotel.
